About me.
Jacklyn Roberts
Registered Dietitian
she/her/hers
Hi! I’m Jacklyn. I’m a registered dietitian in Ottawa, Ontario and really really really love to talk to people.
I got my dietetics degree from McGill University, then moved back to Ottawa and started practicing in 2018. I have been seeing clients in individual and group settings since that time and began my private practice in 2024. I feel deeply lucky that I found my passion for working with people living with eating disorders and disordered eating early on in my career.
When I’m not busy having heart-to-hearts about food, you might find me playing with my beloved toddler, visiting as many coffee shops as possible, or out walking somewhere beautiful with a podcast.
A few of my core beliefs about nutrition, bodies, and eating disorders
Opening up to someone about your relationship with food or eating disorder can be one of the most vulnerable, difficult experiences imaginable
No one asks for, or causes, their relationship with food to be complicated
A person’s eating disorder serves an important purpose in their life - AND everyone deserves to experience a life where eating feels more peaceful
I cannot deduce anything about you, your lifestyle, your eating habits, the severity of your eating disorder, or your health based on your body shape or size
A bit about my practice philosophy:
My practice is built on the principles of Health At Every Size® and Intuitive Eating. In the same way that my clients are often doing the very hard work of unlearning deeply-engrained beliefs, I am continually doing my best to understand the origins and repercussions of anti-fatness and diet culture in hopes of disentangling it from my work as much as possible.
