I’m sorry to give the annoying answer that it truly depends on so many factors. What I can tell you is that the work I do with clients often involves unlearning beliefs, patterns, and behaviours that have been around for years, and this inherently takes time. That said, please know that you are always in the driver’s seat and the one deciding whether our sessions are continuing to feel valuable.

May I start by saying that I deeply understand how intimidating it can be to reach out to a new provider. Will I feel pressured to work with them if I make contact? What if we have a full session and I’m not feeling like it’s a good fit? These questions are completely normal and my hope is that you will find a provider who makes you feel safe, understood and never judged, whether or not that person is me! I always begin by having a (free) 15 minute chat with individuals to learn a bit about them and what they're hoping to get out of seeing a dietitian, and to give them a sense of my approach. There is no pressure to make any decisions on this call. If you would like to move forward together, we will schedule in our first appointment, which is a 90-minute assessment.

You are more than welcome to reach out to me whether or not you have a diagnosis. You are also more than welcome to reach out whether or not you are sure whether your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours toward food would be considered disordered or whether there is truly a “problem”. Let’s chat about it!
In the meantime, feel free to read my post “Is My Relationship with Food Disordered? -
Great question! When it comes to disordered eating and eating disorder recovery, I would argue that dietitians and therapists can both do their best work when they are operating as a team (with the client at the very center of that team!). If and when I have a client’s consent to speak with their therapist, I reach out to begin collaborating on the client’s care.
If you’re wondering where one person’s work ends, and the other begins, see my blog post “What is my *actual* job as the dietitian on your eating disorder team?” -
Currently I see adults 18+.

Sadly, no. As a member of the College of Dietitians of Ontario, I only work with residents of Ontario.

Coverage for Registered Dietitian services varies widely based on a person’s plan. I’d encourage you to contact your insurance provider and inquire about your coverage for Registered Dietitian services.
